What kind of maintenance is required for my brewer?
Regular cleaning (de-scaling) will prolong the life of the appliance. Scale is harmless, but left unattended, it can hinder the brewer performance. For optimal performance and taste we suggest using distilled water in your brewer. We recommend de-scaling every 6 months or every 3 months if you are using hard water. Click on the system you are using below for specific cleaning/ de-scaling instructions:   B100 | B40/ B50

My brewer has a slow flow or is only dispensing half a cup of water, what should I do?
Either your system needs to be cleaned/ de scaled (see instructions above) or the needle that punctures the K-cup is clogged. The brewers come with a small tool placed underneath the drip tray for unclogging the needle. Simple stick that tool into the needle to remove the clog. You should then raise and lower the handle of the brewer or open and close the drawer (depending on what model you are using) without adding a K-cup. Place a cup on the drip tray and push the brew button. This will run hot water through the needle to assure that the clog has been removed.

How do I brew a taller or larger cup such as a travel mug?
If you are using a B40, 50 or 100 just slide the drip tray away from the brewer, this will allow room for a taller cup. If you are using the B2003 the drip tray will flip upright and out of the way. You can then brew 2 K-cups to fill a mug that is 16oz or larger.

Can I make a cup of hot chocolate or soup with my brewer?
Yes, you can. Raise and lower the handle of the brewer or open and lose the drawer (depending on the model you are using) without adding a K-cup. Place your cup on the drip tray and push the brew button. The system will dispense hot water into you cup, mug or bowl.

Is there a warranty on my brewer?
Yes, all brewers come with a 1 year limited warranty (from the date of purchase). Don’t forget to mail in the warranty card that came with your system. The warranty does not cover damages caused by services performed by anyone other than a Keurig authorized representative, use of parts other than genuine Keurig parts or external causes such as abuse, misuse, inappropriate power supply or acts of God.

I am renting my brewer and something goes wrong what happens?
If you are renting a brewer and anything goes wrong with it Distillata with either repair the unit or exchange it at no charge with the same restriction as those of the warranty.

Are the coffees and teas certified Kosher?
Yes, all varieties are certified Kosher. For specific copies of certification please feel free to contact our customer service department.

What are the electrical requirements of the brewer?
The brewer draws 10 amps. We recommend and electrical connection of 15 amps and a 3 prong grounded outlet with a ground fault interruption (gfi).

How hot is the water dispensed from the brewer?
The temperature of the water in the brewer is 192 degrees F. Once it is dispensed into your cup the temperature ranges between 180- 185 degrees F.

Can I exchange or return coffee or tea?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns on food items.

What does the 'best used by' date mean?
This date represents the recommended use by date by the coffee roaster for maximum freshness. The K-cup is sealed and is impermeable to oxygen, moisture and light. They can be used well after the expiration date.
